What the app stores
Photos and short videos, height and weight measurements, milestones and diary notes that parents add, plus school photos a parent has confirmed. It also keeps the email addresses of invited family members so they can sign in.
Where it is stored
On a server we operate ourselves, not on a shared photo or social platform. Nightly backups are encrypted before they leave the server and are stored in Cloudflare R2; the encryption keys stay with the family.
Face recognition
To find your child in kindergarten photos, a face recognition model runs on our own server, not in a cloud service. It keeps a reference set built only from photos of your own child. Faces of other children are compared in memory and discarded right after each photo; nothing about them is stored. Uncertain matches wait for a parent to confirm.
Who can see it
Only family members whose email has been invited. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to that email (Cloudflare Access). Only parents can add, change or delete records.
Service providers
- Cloudflare: network, sign-in, hosting of this page and encrypted backup storage.
- Anthropic (Claude API): only once the AI features above are released and a parent turns them on. Only the data a feature needs is sent, and under Anthropic's commercial terms it is not used to train their models.
